Why this is SO good:
Quick and easy, so you don’t lose any relax and recharge time in your favorite cozy spot. A hint of espresso makes this delicious cocoa unique and inviting.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup Water
1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
1/4 cup Espresso Love Sugar
1/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
4 cups Milk (you choose the variety!)
1 tsp Vanilla Bean Paste or Pure Vanilla Extract
How to make it:
In a medium saucepan, whisk the 1/3 cup water, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/4 cup Espresso Love Sugar, and 1/4 cup cocoa powder until it’s smooth and simmering over medium heat.
Reduce the heat to low and slowly whisk in the 4 cups of milk - but don’t let it boil!
Turn off the heat and whisk in the 1 tsp vanilla paste or extract.
Divide the cocoa up between mugs, top as you please, and enjoy right away!
How to store it:
Let it cool slowly in the pan on the stove - store in a tight container (like a mason jar) in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or stove top, stirring as you go.
So, what if:
I’ve got that funny, un-tasty film on this cocoa. Ah, the milk got a bit too hot. It’s alright though, you can use the back of a spoon or the whisk to slide it off the top and rinse if off in the sink.
I’d like a bit more Espresso Love in my cocoa. I know - this stuff is SO good! Add more Espresso Love Sugar and less granulated sugar, but keep the total sugar at 1/2 cup no matter how you combine it!
People are staring, jealously…I should double this recipe. Good call, you’ll make (or keep) good friends this way! Just double the amounts of everything and whisk and share!
